Maybe the Persona 1 team, though given how Nyarly retreated back only for the P2 teams to deal with him twice maybe the IT was the first to get an unambiguous win.

For everyone in the IT, their Big Moment is basically when they accept their Shadow selves and earn their Persona.

Which given Persona 4's story structure makes their character arcs feel frontloaded. Like sure it's great but they join the party after that rather than before it.

I did see someone compare the P4 gang confronting their Shadows to the P3 gang's later resolutions as their big plot moments (and by extension the P5 gang's awakenings would fall under these too).

Most of P3's upgrades are really halfassed. P4's are front and center and their arc will continue in their Social link

Is it ever explained how the Inaba and Port Island schools got related? They're so different.

It's never elaborated on, but I'd assume it's some sort of school partnership program. Gekkoukan being an exclusive private school owned and funded by one of Japan's top zaibatsu partnering with a high-potential school out in the sticks like Yasogami would be a nice PR move.

(I'm assuming Shadow Ops business wasn't involved since Mitsuru and company only learned about Persona/Shadow related activity in Inaba after the IT wrapped up the case, not during.)

It might be Shadow stuff, though. There's an old man in Inaba who mentions that the events in town have happened before when he was a kid (including the presence of a "Midnight Radio"), and Marie implies that Izanami has been a presence in the area for a long time.

It's not exactly something I approved of, but I can definitely see the logic behind Sega insisting on recasting the main cast with younger talents. The new guys did well anyway.
